As I tried to explain last week, it’s not really about maintaining doctors’ payments — some fudge would have been found to avoid drastic cuts. It’s about rolling back Medicare privatization — and it’s a big win for reformers against the insurance companies.

All of which makes it puzzling how little coverage this is getting in the news media.
